Friends and Colleagues,
2016 is a watershed year for Global Climate Action, and it’s imperative that the next Paris Conference of the Parties (COP) move the World forward to truly catalyze substantive and enduring action on climate and the reduction of Greenhouse Gases (GHG) emissions: building a clean energy future.
Last September, the People’s Climate March in NYC was an inspiring experience that re-kick-started the broad global movement to come to grips with Climate Change. The million marchers included our colleagues from the Association for Preservation Technology and the National Trust, who carried signs demanding more sustainable rehabilitation for our massive stock of existing buildings – a key theme of MTBA’s Building Resilience document.
Now there is an opportunity to add to people power for climate here in Ottawa on Sunday, November 29th, 1-4 pm on Parliament Hill, just before the Paris COP meeting begins. Although simultaneous marches are happening across Canada, the Ottawa March is the focus for the country, and particularly for Eastern Canada.
WE INVITE YOU, YOUR FAMILY, FRIENDS AND COLLEAGUES TO JOIN OUR FAMILY IN THE MARCH, WHICH WE ARE 100% CONVINCED WILL BE 100% EMPOWERING AND 100% FUN FOR A 100% RENEWABLE ENERGY FUTURE (cool theme, eh? – thanks to Chris Henderson for that!)

The March is also a chance to see the Sir John A. Macdonald Building at 144 Wellington Street across from West Block.
